History
In 1923 seventy-five Swedes, mostly recent immigrants, formed a sports club named Skandinviska Gymnastik och Idrottskulubbenn. Their interest was mainly soccer.
Today SAC welcomes members of all Scandinavian backgrounds. Monthly meetings are held to promote social activities and the Scandinavian heritages. Throughout the year we host Midsummer, St. Lucia Fest, ballroom dancing, picnics, and dinners and breakfasts such as plattar (Swedish pancakes), kalops (pot roast), and kaldolmar (cabbage). The public is welcome to all these events.
